Role of sandbox
Participation in the European Blockchain Sandbox provides a structured dialogue with EU and national regulators. This allows Circularise to test its solution against various legislative standards and receive guidance on regulatory compliance, ensuring their technology is flexible enough to adapt to future requirements. It helps in understanding how their secure data sharing mechanisms fit within existing and emerging EU regulations.
Results obtained
- The pilot addresses a clear regulatory need (Digital Product Passports) and has implications for trade/industry competitiveness and sustainability
- The concept of secure data sharing for physical products is based on a 'digital twin'-like representation that can be integrated into future virtual environments for supply chain visualization, product lifecycle management, and consumer interaction.
