Established in 2022 by the Foundation of the Hellenic World, XR Cosmos serves as a central platform for the development and promotion of Extended Reality (XR) technologies in Greece. The initiative aims to create a robust ecosystem by connecting professionals, researchers, and institutions involved in XR.
XR Cosmos organizes various events and programs to foster innovation and collaboration. Notably, it hosted the Global XR Summit 2023, bringing together international experts to discuss advancements in XR technologies. The initiative also conducts innovation contests, such as the 1st XR Cosmos Innovation Contest, to encourage the development of new XR applications.
Through partnerships with international organizations and participation in European projects like BRIDGES, XR Cosmos works to integrate XR technologies into sectors such as culture, education, healthcare, and tourism. The initiative also supports startups and entrepreneurs by providing resources and networking opportunities.
