CREDOC
CRÉDOC is a non-profit organisation founded under the French Law of 1901.
Since its creation in 1953, CRÉDOC’s mission has been to help organisations align their actions with the needs and aspirations of French people, both today and in the future.
Our flagship observatories, Conditions de Vie (“Living Conditions”) and Tendances de Consommation (“Consumer Trends”), established in 1978 and 1992 respectively, provide us with a broad and long-term perspective on changes in French society and consumer behaviour.
Our tailor-made quantitative and qualitative studies for both public- and private-sector clients draw on the most robust and up-to-date methodological approaches, including data science, econometrics, qualitative research, impact assessment and support for local authorities.
Each of our studies is accompanied by actionable recommendations designed to support our clients’ decision-making and contribute to their transformation in the social, economic and environmental fields.
Finally, CRÉDOC’s strong reputation and close links with the media, public institutions and academia, including the CESE, the French Senate and Parliament, Sciences Po, Sorbonne University, Université Paris Dauphine–PSL, the European Network for Social and Economic Research, the French Statistical Society and the French Evaluation Society, help ensure that our research contributes to the national public debate.
CRÉDOC provides social science research and evaluation services to public and private organisations, including:
• Large-scale quantitative surveys and representative population research
• Qualitative research, interviews and focus groups
• User research and analysis of behaviours, attitudes and technology adoption
• Research on digital uses, digital inclusion and inequalities
• Data science and econometric analysis
• Social and societal impact assessment
• Evaluation of public policies and programmes
• Foresight and analysis of societal trends
• Evidence-based policy and strategic recommendations
In the field of emerging digital technologies, CRÉDOC can contribute to research on users and non-users, adoption, accessibility and inclusion, attitudes and trust, inequalities of access and use, and broader societal impacts.
