XR4Europe AISBL
XR4Europe is a pan-European association uniting XR professionals, companies, research institutions, and national/regional clusters across Europe. Established as the legacy of the Horizon 2020 XR4ALL project, it plays a central role in strengthening Europe’s immersive technology ecosystem through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic alignment with EU priorities.
The association supports its members by facilitating access to European funding programmes, fostering cross-border partnerships, and providing visibility for XR initiatives, projects, and use cases. It actively contributes to key EU initiatives related to virtual worlds, Web 4.0, and digital innovation, engaging with policymakers, standards organisations, and industry stakeholders.
XR4Europe promotes ethical, human-centred, and interoperable approaches to XR development, notably through its involvement in projects such as XR4HUMAN and OPENVERSE. It supports the development of frameworks, guidelines, and tools that advance responsible innovation and align with European values.
Through events, working groups, research activities, and community platforms, XR4Europe connects diverse stakeholders across sectors including culture, healthcare, education, and industry. It acts as a bridge between local ecosystems and European-level initiatives, helping to position Europe as a global leader in trustworthy and open immersive technologies.
