Topsector ICT was established in 2011 as part of the Dutch government’s initiative to bolster innovation across key sectors of the economy. It is one of ten designated “Top Sectors” in the Netherlands, focusing on enhancing the country’s digital capabilities and addressing societal challenges through information and communication technologies (ICT).
Topsector ICT serves as a central hub for coordinating ICT research and innovation in the Netherlands. Its primary objectives include:

Promoting Key Enabling Technologies: Focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and digital connectivity to drive technological advancement.
