Industrial Reality Hub (IR Hub) is a Dutch consortium of 17 partners specializing in industrial applications of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR). Recognized as a Smart Industry Fieldlab and a European Digital Innovation Hub, IR Hub fosters collaboration among companies, government, and knowledge institutions to drive innovation in industrial XR solutions.
Overview
Established in 2018, the Industrial Reality Hub brings together a diverse group of companies and research institutions, including Controllab, OVSoftware, SeriousVR, Recreate, Twinsense360, Benchmark Electronics, Demcon-Nymus3D, and the VR Lab of the University of Twente. Under the guidance of Oost NL, the regional development agency, the hub aims to advance the integration of AR/VR technologies in industrial settings.
On March 14, 2019, IR Hub received official recognition as a Smart Industry Fieldlab, highlighting its role in developing, testing, and implementing smart industry solutions.
Mission
IR Hub’s mission is to enhance collaboration between humans and machines through seamless integration of data and AR/VR technologies. The goal is to make digital reality accessible, affordable, practically usable, and socially relevant for any industrial organization.

Knowledge Development: Creating technology roadmaps and sharing expertise among partners.
