Health Cluster Portugal

Health Cluster Portugal (HCP) is a private non-profit association established in 2008. It unites over 220 members, including research institutions, universities, hospitals, civil society organizations, and companies in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technologies, and health services.

HCP’s mission is to enhance the competitiveness of Portugal’s health value chain by leveraging knowledge from universities, research institutes, hospitals, and companies. It focuses on transforming this knowledge into economic and social value, promoting sustainability, and improving health outcomes.  

Key strategic agendas include:

  • Innovation: Promoting collaboration and translational research.

  • Industrialization: Attracting foreign direct investment and supporting industrial cooperation.

  • Digitalization: Accelerating the expansion of the digital health ecosystem.

  • Data: Implementing value-based healthcare and facilitating data access.  

 

HCP also organizes events like the “Innovating Health Together Conference” to foster dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders in the health sector.
