Gospodarska zbornica Slovenije

GZS (Gospodarska zbornica Slovenije), or the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, is the country’s largest and most influential business network. Established in 1851, GZS represents over 5,200 member companies across all sectors and regions of Slovenia. Its members contribute approximately 50% of the nation’s gross value added and generate two-thirds of Slovenia’s exports. GZS serves as a key partner to the government in shaping economic policies and fostering a competitive business environment.

GZS operates as an independent, voluntary, and non-profit association, uniting 26 industry associations and 13 regional chambers. It plays a pivotal role in:

  • Policy Advocacy: Engaging with national and European institutions to influence legislation and promote entrepreneurship and innovation.

  • Business Support: Providing expert information, professional support, and a range of services to enhance the competitiveness of its members.

  • International Cooperation: Acting as a member of Eurochambres and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), facilitating global business connections.

  • Education and Training: Participating in vocational education and training programs to align workforce skills with industry needs.

GZS also organizes events such as the “Innovation Day” and the “GZS Award” to recognize outstanding business achievements.
