Established in 2016, XRBB (Extended Reality Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) is a publicly funded association committed to promoting the virtual, augmented, and mixed reality industries. It serves as a central platform for XR professionals in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, facilitating collaboration among high-tech companies, media organizations, research institutes, universities, startups, freelancers, and XR enthusiasts.
XRBB’s mission is to develop a sustainable and growing XR industry by bringing together experts and fostering partnerships both nationally and internationally. The association organizes and supports various events, including conferences, workshops, and networking sessions, to promote knowledge exchange and showcase advancements in XR technologies.
In 2023, the association rebranded from VRBB (Virtual Reality Berlin-Brandenburg) to XRBB to reflect its broader focus on extended reality technologies beyond virtual reality.
