Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications

Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL) is Estonia’s leading ICT industry association, established on March 23, 2000, through the merger of the Estonian Computer Association (AFA, founded in 1992) and the Association of Telecommunication Companies (TEL). ITL unites over 110 member organizations, accounting for more than 70% of the Estonian ICT sector’s turnover. It serves as a central platform for collaboration, policy advocacy, and innovation, driving Estonia’s digital transformation.

ITL plays a pivotal role in shaping Estonia’s digital landscape through various initiatives:

  • Policy Advocacy: Engaging with national and EU policymakers to influence digital policies and regulatory frameworks.

  • Strategic Initiatives: Developing comprehensive action plans, such as the “Smart Estonia 2035” vision, outlining measures to advance digital infrastructure, skills, and innovation.

  • Public Engagement: Organizing events and conferences to foster dialogue among stakeholders and promote digital literacy.

ITL is also a member of international organizations like DIGITALEUROPE, representing Estonia’s digital interests at the European level.
