The INTO-CPS Association was established to maintain and promote the results of the European Horizon 2020 project INTO-CPS (2015–2017), which developed a toolchain for the model-based design of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs). The goal is to support engineers across disciplines—mechanical, electrical, software—through a seamless, multi-model development process.
Key components of the INTO-CPS ecosystem include:
Model Integration: Enables co-simulation of heterogeneous models (e.g., 20-sim, OpenModelica, VDM, SysML) using the Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) standard.
Design Workflow: Supports system design from requirements capture, architecture modelling (SysML), behavioural and controller design, to hardware/software deployment.
Toolchain Support: Open-source tools that integrate verification, simulation, testing, and code generation.
Sustainability and Community: The INTO-CPS Association ensures continued development, training, and standardisation support, particularly for academia, industry, and EU-level research.
The association continues the mission of enabling reproducible, integrated, and cost-efficient development of trustworthy CPSs for domains such as automotive, manufacturing, energy, and robotics.
