Alliance Française des Industries du Numérique

AFNUM (Alliance Française des Industries du Numérique) is France’s principal trade association representing the digital technology industry. Founded in 2015 through the merger of several historic syndicates—including GITEP TICS, SFIB, Simavelec, and USPII—AFNUM unites over 60 companies across the digital value chain, from telecommunications and consumer electronics to connected devices and imaging technologies. Its members collectively represent approximately 130,000 jobs in France, including over 5,000 in R&D, and generate an annual turnover of €30 billion.

AFNUM serves as a unified voice for France’s digital manufacturers, engaging with national and European public authorities, regulatory bodies, and standardization organizations. Its mission encompasses policy advocacy, industry coordination, and the promotion of responsible digital innovation. AFNUM actively participates in legislative and regulatory discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data governance, and environmental sustainability.

The association organizes specialized working groups focusing on areas like AI, data security, environmental responsibility, and public sector engagement. It also contributes to the development of sectoral positions at both French and European levels, collaborating with entities like DIGITALEUROPE and FIEEC.
